I explore old Cemeteries throughout the US and this is one of the most LOVELY Cemeteries/Graveyards I have had a chance to explore. Very well kept, quiet, headstones of unique shapes, sizes and symbolism carved on them. Dates ranging from the 1800's to 1960's. Even have some crypts and unique iron fences around family plots. The most fascinating thing about this Cemetery is the fact that they have no just one, but TWO children's playgrounds on the property, right there up against the graves. So I guess if you are here to visit your loved ones, the little kids can go amuse themselves on the playground and not complaining...
Read moreWe had members of our group with physical limitations, so we drove through this historical cemetery. We stopped at the office first and got a couple of maps for a donation. The maps were a very useful tool to guide us through the cemetery. It was really cool to just stop and observe the messages and dates on the mostly ornate graves. You go at your own pace and if you want to stop. Just pull over....
