This place popped up on maps and we decided to make the long drive to check it out along with a couple other destinations. We got there and there was no map or marked tails. It was also overgrown with weeds and grass. We made our way to the River cave and on the way back we saw a family that was familiar with the area and they told us more about the place and some other overgrown trails and I'm glad they did because it would have been even more disappointing if we didn't meet them. Read moreWe came in January and it wasn't the magical place we thought it would be. The road leading down to the cave was nice but not very good if you have mobility issues or are out of shape. It is very quiet and deserted out here, kind of creepy. We also heard coyotes howling on the long walk back up the hill so I would bring a big stick or something for protection. There is a help calling box right at the entrance. I personally couldn't get to the cave but my husband climbed the mossy rocks and saw it. Maybe in the nicer months this place is more enchanting but It will be a one and done...
Read moreAbsolutely loved this little place. Was some awesome caves here. There’s a gated gravel path that you can take that’s the easy path. If you want a real hike go on past that park and walk down the road to the creek and walk the path to the left from there. You will have to walk part of it in the creek bed so bring water shoes. Once you get to the grassy field cross the creek to the right and walk up the hill and stay right to find the cave.
