We absolutely love this park!! It's the biggest dog park we've ever been to, and it's a joy that it's only a quick 12 min drive from our house in SE Salem. This park is unfenced and huge, so just be aware of that. It has a huge walking loop around it that's bark chip, and the park itself is grassy. Well maintained as well--the grass never seems to get too long or tall, which is awesome! There are several side trails into woodsy areas which are generally well maintained, where overgrowth is often trimmed back, though they seem to be a little less well maintained than the main park area. We haven't had any problems with other dogs or owners here, which is awesome--the sheer size of the park itself is wonderful in that you can always manage to keep distance from others if needed or desired. Our two dogs absolutely love this park and it's perfect for both their needs; one loves and is down for just about anything and specifically loves to greet other pet owners and play fetch, while the other is more anxious and needs to be walking/running in order to get the nerves and energy out before being able to relax and greet other dogs and people. We usually walk the loop at least once and then throw the ball for one and let the other run and explore. The park has several trees around it for shade and a handful of benches and picnic tables. Owners are also generally very good about picking up after their dogs, and there are a handful of stations with waste bags and garbage cans for convenience. Overall great park!!

One of my all time favorite parks. Over 1200 acres (bigger than New York Central Park), Minto Brown Island park is the greatest gift to the people of Salem. A huge unfenced do park, endless paths to walk, along the Willamette River or through the flower filled fields. Don't miss visiting this one.

Best dog park in my opinion my dog has to greet every dog at the park and people control their dogs very well there. Always a great time for my Pressa Canario

We took a break at this awesome dog park after a really long drive. It’s a lovely spot with a big open field where dogs can run free and plenty of space for all the furry friends and their friendly owners. There’s even a small playground on the other side for the little ones to enjoy. I didn't see any restrooms, but I wasn't looking for them. Our dog was a bit hesitant because he’s on the shy side, and some of the other dogs were just super curious and playful, always wanting to grab each other’s toys. Haha! So, just a heads up to make sure your pup is comfortable around different breeds. The park also has lots of paved paths that are perfect for a nice stroll while soaking in the beautiful scenery. While we were there, we saw folks walking their dogs, pushing strollers, and even some cycling. There’s plenty of parking available and lots of bins for those doggy bags. Plus, there’s a water station for both humans and pets, complete with a pet-friendly bowl. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to take your dog! No, photo... sorry, we were too busy...

Took my dogs here as we had to be in town for the day & needed somewhere to run them for a bit. This place is huge. They was many trails you could walk but there are also open fields you are allowed to have your dogs off the leash. Which is good because my dogs will not use the bathroom with a leash on. My dogs did very well here even though we don't come to the parks very often as they have plenty of room to run &...
