I appreciate the history behind this monument. However, it is in the middle of the mountains and is right off the highway. You pull off in an exit into a secluded asphalt square, park your car wherever you feel like it, and then you walk over to the monument. It's a very impressive monument, but since it is alone, it makes the trip up there very underwhelming. If this is something you are interested in seeing, then, by all means, check it out.
