Contrariamente alla credenza popolare, il monumento si trova nel quartiere di Lapa, nel comune di Salinas, Puerto Rico. si trova a circa 100 metri dal quartiere Las Palmas. Il monumento è situato nell'unica area di sosta sull'autostrada 52 di Puerto Rico, tra l’uscita 39 (PR-1/PR-15-cayoy, Aibonito, cedro, Jajome) e l'uscita 58 (Olympic Hostel). Il monumento è accessibile solo dalle corsie in direzione sud; non è possibile accedervi dalle corsie in direzione nord o dall'area di sosta PR-52, nella parte settentrionale.

This place is like a rest stop on the highway you have to walk back a few feet to get to the monument but it's a nice place to take pictures with the family

Just so you know, don't expect much of it cause is a really Old monument, but it has the story of it's creation in a mural to its LEFT

The Monumento al Jíbaro Puertorriqueño is a monument built by the Government of Puerto Rico to honor the Puerto Rican Jíbaro, located on Puerto Rico Highway 52, km 49.0, Barrio Lapa, Salinas, Puerto Rico. It was sculpted by Tomás Batista.
