We had trouble finding the visitor center, bit once there we were very impressed by the amount of information and the quality of the displays, such as the four types of mangrove or samples of different textures of sand from many PR beaches. The person who welcomed us was very knowledgeable and super helpful. She dedicated a lot of time to help us identify the birds we'd seen on the trails, looking them up on an app on her phone and sharing a lot of details on the area. The trails around the visitor center are great for education, and you'll see plenty of birds. You'll also walk past a mangrove nursery used for ecological restoration.
