From the Minute you pull in off of the Road, it is an experience! The parking staff was organized and friendly. The Blond haired young boy who directed us was exceptionally nice. I got there 30 minutes early, and I felt like I was late! They had several food trucks, giving everyone an option as to what to eat. The main truck across from check-in, Simply Smoked, was a delight. Bethany, the woman at the window, made me feel like we were old friends chatting it up. Their food was definitely not what I was expecting. It was elevated, yet definitely comfort food to me. The brisket was top-notch & corn nuggets, yum! At the end of the night, I snuck over to Duck Donuts & had the most unusual combination, but it sang in my mouth. Ashten, who was at the counter, told me about her favorite donut. Oreo, with a drizzle of Raspberry & Blueberry. OMG π² The Heavens parted & my inner fat child sang! The check-in and line were pretty painless as we got on one of the earlier tractors going down after an unexpected but great fireworks show. Coming back, they were exceptionally busy. They had characters going all around up by the food trucks and tractors engaging customers in fun jump scares. They had a few Sherrifs helping with the loading of tractors & and overall crowd control. Impressive flow even though there were lots of people. Almost forgot, they had merchandise to purchase Hoodies & Shirts with Maze of Terror. Then Tumbler, which had trail characters that you got a Trick or Treat when you bought one. I ended up winning a trail pass! Earrings, bracelets, and Pins of some iconic characters. Tyler, a young JROTC cadet selling his World's Finest Chocolate to pay for a trip to DC with his class. Hay ride down to the wooded part of the trail seemed really fast, but still took us several moments. We unloaded at an ominous front porch with torches lit & we were off! At the front porch with a Clown π€‘ painting, We were greeted by an energetic woman who took 3 pictures and then told us she had just taken our last known photos! π² EPIC! In the interest of not ruining this experience for anyone else, I am not going to give away anything more! My suggestion is go, visit, take in every moment & Enjoy π! This "Small Family Business" will leave you feeling like you had a full-on experience with no scare left un discovered. My favorite October experience this year and for $25.00 + my food. Was a steal! I will be back! Thank you Maze of Terror! You had me from our first Hello π. Till Next Year... π§ββοΈ ...
Β Β Β Read moreWas such a great experience! We took our 8 year old who was super excited about her first haunted house. The staff was all super nice and walked around while we were waiting in line to show the Littles they were not so scary and even let them feel that the chainsaws did not have blades to make them feel safe. Pookie was one of the clowns and was super funny and made her feel safe and excited to try it out. The first house down the trail was pitch black which ended up setting the tone for the other house. It was not super scary but just was not what my little had expected. She learned that night that apparently she is not a fan of the dark or loud noises lol. Regardless we came to the next house and again the staff being so amazing recognized she was really apprehensive about continuing so they let her know what to expect and even told her she could go around the house since it did have a part where there were no lights. We then continued on and we got to the third house where again the staff took notice and all came out to introduce themselves in costumes and let her know she could walk through the house which was full of clown light themed and no one would jump out at her. She made it through and by the time we came to the 4th house, she met the Skelton man who was yet again super nice she said she was feeling very good about herself and proud that she kept going even though she was scared. Needless to say we did not continue since there was still a lot of trail ahead but again staff was so great and personally led us to the corn maze and showed us to the hay ride back. They turned a potentially bad night into a great experience and she said she wants to go back next year and try to make it just a little bit further!!!! The staff truly makes this place great, will...
Β Β Β Read moreThis place is freaking awesome! It's a place that you MUST visit for Halloween. While waiting for the tractor hayride down to the trail, they have several different food trucks on site, a psychic reading table, and a fire pit to stay warm!! Once you get down to the trail you are separated with the group that you came in with which is a super plus! Oh and did I mention there is police officers on site and a metal detector before getting on the hayride which made my 4 kiddos and I feel super safe. The trail takes about and hour to walk through. You will go in and out of buildings to see all the different attractions. They have an illusion tunnel that you walk through SUPER WILD There is also an attraction in which you get up on a slab and they slide you down a tunnel!! If sliding down isn't your thing they give you a option to walk down!! AWESOME One of the rules is that none of the actors are allowed to touch you!! Which is great!! My 9 year old was afraid of the unknown, once the actors seen that she was upset at some points, they took their mask off to assure her that she was safe and it was all for fun!! One clown even had a bucket of candy for the ones that were afraid!! Once it was done and over she was begging PLEASE PLEASE can we go back? Everyone was super nice that I came in contact with and the entire thing was coordinated VERY WELL! At the very end you walk through a corn maze to get back on the tractor and head back to the original starting place!! EVERYONE SHOULD VISIT THE MAZE OF TERROR AT LEAST ONCE!! 5 STAR β...
