As a professional event host, I was in town to host the 2025 Wake The Dessert Wakeboard competition at Middle Concho Park. The park was beautiful and the lake perfect for this great family event. But I had forgotten this was a military town. As a decorated retired military veteran with a prestigious award / metal visible on my Texas plates, I was immediately pulled over and hassled by San Angelo Police just outside the park entrance on my way out. Also you can get to the twin buttes area through here where you can do even more fun activities such as hiking, hunting and shooting shotguns. So plan a family trip here and you...
