Im torn , first time I went I was pretty emotional about having been out of work long enough I wasn't sure what would happen . Immediately Im being prayed with about my sin etc... also was told Im dealing with a trauma response from either drug or alcohol... which is the furthest from the truth as Im blessed to have never had either addictions. Havent even mildly drank since 30+ yrs agao. Its ok they dont have funds for rent, lights etc... but another assumption ( I feel ),was to tell me maybe Im going to have to humble myself and stay in a shelter.. what makes him think Ive not already been . I ( a.few.wks later ) embarked upon the food distribution since the job Ive landed wont pay for another 3 wks. and just wanted to supplement my food just a little. I observed food being taken out for them while laughing and saying " dont tell anybody" Also, some of the people Id met b4 were very friendly, others were almost hostile which is a strong word but they acted like they barely wanted to speak .. i directly waved at the pastors wife , smiled.and.said hi ... no response or acknowledgement , yet she waved hello to a group of women STANDING RIGHT IN THE SAME VACINITY.. she basically ignored me at least 3 times . The pastor became quite gruff with me as well ... too many details to go into but the atmosphere was NOT loving or friendly AT ALL !! One lady who had been friendly to me before , was very cold ( was it bcs her husband was there idk ) they were all cheery to their regulars but those of us not in " the group" a whole different story. I observed others being ignored . One woman said how she takes food home all the time and they dont really need it .she said her husband gets annoyed cs they have too much food !!! Lets just say, i seriously contemplated just leaving without anything but need preceeded feeling uncomfortable beyond meaaure . I will go without b4 ever going there . I remember the pastor saying how the church is paid for the property and lights etc... so basically theyre living free and still being greedy with food intended for...
Read moreMy husband goes to this church, & sings in the choir. He loves it.🕊Charles Jewell goes to this church, and he is a very dedicated Christian, & very hard worker: he has rebuilt our VERY long back fence🐘, helped trim our🌳 trees, and even inspired my husband to help him repair our deck in the back🐛. I had to only give it 3 stars, though🦊, because there has occasionally been some rudeness🐑, and one of the women missionaries shook her keys CONTINOUSLY in our living room🐓, when I'm pretty sure she and most people know that that is a particularly bad noise for me🦉. I'm not sure, but I think someone🐍paid her to do this, or maybe just told or asked her to do it, when she was invited into my home for the purpose of spreading the gospel.(Could I be wrong? I suppose it's possible🦖). This is not the first time someone has entered our home & hypnotically tortured🦂 me with noises: it has happened often. (Pretty much everywhere, but especially at HEB; their music is shockingly upsetting to my sense of well-being🐻). I would normally give a church, with people coming to your home, representing it with this sort of behavior, a negative number, but my husband really just 🥀LOVES⚘this church, and several different people have given us all kinds of baked treats🐒, and even a ham!🐮Plus, there is Charles Jewell's generosity. How to rate them is so complex, that the "3" was only to write this note. You must decide for yourselves. I have never attended a church service, or any event🐺. I have been invited to services and Christmas choir concerts, where my husband sang, but I sadly was unable to go, because of my problem with noises🦃 . I like going to Christmas Eve🌲 services,...
Read moreI can Not say enough wonderful things about this community and Pastor Fabian! I'm in a mom group that believes you can struggle and still be a good mom. Our mom group was holding their first ever trunk or treat for the children in our community. The original location canceled on us the minute we arrived to set up our cars and vendors. We were devastated because we had flyers distributed and our children were in costumes and ready to have some fun. By the grace of God, we called a close by church and told the Pastor (Pastor Fabian)of our situation. His response was so welcoming and kind "just get here and set up, we can talk about the details later." This man whom we had never met graciously invited us to his property and allowed us to host our invent right then and there with absolutely no notice at all!!! The church already had a pumpkin patch set up with a Charlie Brown movie playing on the projector for it's own event also. Tonight my faith was restored a lot more in humanity and also in the power of God. Everything is written and we get so caught up in the stresses of life that we sometimes forget that. So grateful that God placed wonderful people like this on my path. Thank you pastor Fabian for being the fire that your...
