I was really excited to attend this art fair, but I had never been to it before. All I can say is it is up on a very dangerous road with many twist and turns at some point the road is narrow and it has a steep mountain side with no guard rail, which is kind of scary. Once we arrived at the fair, it was pure chaos people walking in these narrow roads cars trying to park on the side of a road that has a 50 foot drop. I saw one car tire wasnāt even touching the ground. It was off the side of the cliff. Unfortunately, I looked for parking for about 45 minutes and then gave up and went on a hike at Huddart Park instead.
I did, however, notice that there is a shuttle so that is worth looking into if I ever feel the urge to go again I would definitely check out the shuttle that has limited parking as well and so itās the same situation of park on the side of the road, but at least thereās somebody to give you a ride up, whereas I saw many people walking quite a distance. Regardless of the parking and the walking, the fair is situated on uneven surfaces in the mountain so this would probably not be a great idea for people who have limited mobility in their legs or balance issues or cane walker, or any other...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreOf all the Bay Area art festivals, Kings Mountain is by far the most beautiful venue. Set in the redwood forest surrounded by awe-inspiring 200 foot tall trees? Yes please! Be aware that parking can be a challenge and it's not uncommon to have a bit of a walk to get from your car to the fair itself. There is a shuttle but if you're able, the well-marker trails are an excellent choice because they will take you away from the road and traffic. After a few minutes all you can see and hear is the forest and the occasional other hiker. Some trails are a bit steep in places but nothing that requires more than a good pair of shoes and sense of balance! The fair itself is also hose to plenty of great artists and artwork, including many that I don't see at the other art & wine festivals up and down the peninsula all summer long. There are activities for kids too if you've got little...
