Opened every Labors Day Weekend since 1963 from 10am to 5pm. Don't miss this great event put on by all volunteers (300-400) from the Kings Mountain neighborhood. Fun for families, art lovers, hikers/bikers passing thru, and those that wish to support the local fire brigade and elementary school. Well worth the beautiful drive into the Redwoods off of hwy 35. Free shuttles are available and admission is also free. Just remember when parking on Skyline Blvd to stay within the white line or you might get a ticket. Come join the fun and enjoy connecting with wonderful people and talented artist in an incredible Redwood forest! See you there : )

This was a very enjoyable event. Some of the art work and crafts are just stunning. Parking is difficult however the shuttle service is fast and efficient. The food was good but lines were long. They had large picnic benches yet it was hard finding space to sit, you just had to get cozy with your neighbors. The weather was perfect, over all I loved the small town feel of the place, the vendors were all very friendly, and the whole fair had a atmosphere of community.

It was marvelous! First: BIG THANKS to all those volunteers that make my day really fun and filled with a pleasant experience! It was my very first time there šŸ˜ I really enjoyed, the combination of those amazing tall trees 🤩 with all those beautiful shopping stands full of nice, fine and unique stuff was just perfect! Can't wait for next year!

I was really excited to attend this art fair, but I had never been to it before. All I can say is it is up on a very dangerous road with many twist and turns at some point the road is narrow and it has a steep mountain side with no guard rail, which is kind of scary. Once we arrived at the fair, it was pure chaos people walking in these narrow roads cars trying to park on the side of a road that has a 50 foot drop. I saw one car tire wasn’t even touching the ground. It was off the side of the cliff. Unfortunately, I looked for parking for about 45 minutes and then gave up and went on a hike at Huddart Park instead.

I did, however, notice that there is a shuttle so that is worth looking into if I ever feel the urge to go again I would definitely check out the shuttle that has limited parking as well and so it’s the same situation of park on the side of the road, but at least there’s somebody to give you a ride up, whereas I saw many people walking quite a distance. Regardless of the parking and the walking, the fair is situated on uneven surfaces in the mountain so this would probably not be a great idea for people who have limited mobility in their legs or balance issues or cane walker, or any other...

A Must-Visit Event for Art Lovers!

The Kings Mountain Art Festival is an absolute gem tucked away in the beautiful redwoods. The scenic drive up the mountain is just the beginning of what turns into a perfect day out. The festival itself is incredibly well-organized, with a wide variety of talented artists showcasing everything from fine art and photography to handcrafted jewelry and pottery. There’s something here for everyone!

What makes this event stand out even more is the community vibe. The local volunteers are so welcoming, and the festival has a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere that’s family-friendly. Plus, it’s all for a good cause, supporting local fire and rescue services!

Don’t miss the food stalls either—the snacks and drinks are delicious and pair perfectly with a day of exploring the booths. If you’re an art lover or just looking for a fun outdoor event to enjoy with family or friends, the Kings Mountain Art Festival should definitely be on your list....

Of all the Bay Area art festivals, Kings Mountain is by far the most beautiful venue. Set in the redwood forest surrounded by awe-inspiring 200 foot tall trees? Yes please! Be aware that parking can be a challenge and it's not uncommon to have a bit of a walk to get from your car to the fair itself. There is a shuttle but if you're able, the well-marker trails are an excellent choice because they will take you away from the road and traffic. After a few minutes all you can see and hear is the forest and the occasional other hiker. Some trails are a bit steep in places but nothing that requires more than a good pair of shoes and sense of balance! The fair itself is also hose to plenty of great artists and artwork, including many that I don't see at the other art & wine festivals up and down the peninsula all summer long. There are activities for kids too if you've got little...
