At the start of this trail by the first creek crossing on the left , that is the shortcut to get to the Placerita Canyon waterfalls ( 4.7 miles usually ) but from this point it’s only 1.8 miles. For some reason google doesn’t have this trail listed . Anyhow this is a hidden gem in the SCV . After the rain you’ll find a small waterfall which I recorded for my Youtube channel , Im going to post a few clips so you get an idea, but I strongly recommend to watch the whole video for lots of information and tips @lopezexplora

Wonderful trailhead off Placerita Canyon road. Intersects with a couple trail, Las Pinetos and has the Waterfall Trail as part of the space. Not particularly difficult but does have some challenges going up to the waterfall, which by the way is not likely there once summer kicks in but winter and early spring it's quite peaceful.

A very good trailhead. From here, there are multiple ways one could go. You could go up the falls, which are currently closed, but who's stopping , or you could go on to some of the other trails such as the one that goes to the top of the mountain. They are all very good trails and it is very pretty here.

Place is beautiful and contains great trails but...don't leave anything important in your car here. Bunch of cars got broken into by (what seemed to be) professionals on 10/13/24 during the morning. Not all cars had their property stolen as the theives caught wind of someone coming and fled. For security and safety, just stick to the lot by the Placerita Nature Center. Never had any issues there, so far. TL;DR: area's beautiful, but this particular lot is exploitable by the...
