We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon for the first time, but it won’t be the last! We didn’t know what to expect but the parking lot was full and when we entered the Tasting Room, all the tables were occupied except for one and there were folks at the bar. Not wanting a long wait, we were about to leave when Tonia greeted us warmly and started sharing info about the menu and tastings. We were impressed with the variety of wine choices and the fact that a tasting was only $20 and included 6 wines of your choosing and a free stemless glass. We are so glad we stayed! Tonia seated us right away and in spite of the crowd was very attentive and kept an eye on our glasses. We learned that the majority of customers were in a visiting wine club but we still felt like we got personal, friendly attention and info to make our first visit nice. Cheryl also came by to check in on our table, which happened to be near a freezer of amazing looking steaks and meats from the ranch associated with the vineyard/winery. The grounds are lovely with native plants and huge live oak trees as well as the recognizable vintage pickup. We left with 2 bottles, two types of meat and a new club membership thanks to Tonia and Cheryl and will look forward to...
Read moreI was a member of this winery for many many years. Had many good times. I only canceled after the death of my wife. I revisited today for the first time in about a year. Front desk staff was different and very rude. We left. On the way out, noticed a young child, maybe 2-3 years old, sitting in the back seat of a running Tahoe in the parking lot. The car had been there about an hour, having arrived shortly after we did. I notified the desk staff, and the manager, Rhonda and Shelley. They indicated it was the child of a member who visits frequently, and they ‘checked’ on the child while in the car. The staff was completely indifferent. They brushed me off. I indicated I would call the police, at which point the mother instantly came out and retrieved the toddler from the vehicle. I should add, the vehicle had an LISD parking permit- indicating it was associated with a school district.
I cannot support an organization which condones this behavior- a mother inside drinking wine while a child is unattended in a vehicle, with the full knowledge of the establishment. For...
Read moreFor Mothers Day we came out for the afternoon and to pick up our wine. As always the live music, staff, food, service and atmosphere were amazing. It is absolutely worth being a club member even if you only only come out a couple times a year to pick up your wine. We have friends that pick ours up and their is always the option for them to mail it to you. The pick up party fun is great with people and music to spend the afternoon enjoying the Texas weather. The food is always good and you should try the pizza. Not only does it pair well with the wines but it’s delicious on its own. Appetizers and charcuterie board options are of course on the menu as well. This is a great place to come with family and friends it’s kids friendly with activities for all ages but for me just relaxing, having some wine and enjoying the people always makes it a good time. We have been members for years and will keep coming for years to come. P.S. For those who say I can just get a bottle at HEB you might be missing out on some they only sell at the winery. Go visit you won’t be...
