Well maintained and thoughtfully labeled trail that leads to some interesting focal points including a beautiful lookout with partial clearing and water views. Trails are combination of up hill and down hill winding. Moss and pine bedded trails that can be leafy and mildly sandy. Not an abundance of poison ivy in comparison to the natural vegetation on the cape. Can be pockets of mosquitoes etc and of course always prepare and be aware for ticks. Wide open trails and narrow bike trails provide a route for everyone. We saw more people out walking dogs...
Read moreFabulous ride today around Maple Swamp. Entrance located off of Service Rd in Sandwich. We got lost several times and would suggest pre downloading map ahead of time from Trail Forks. There is signage for most of the main trails . Glad to see plenty of steep hills - single track and wider open carriage trails as well.
