Lovely natural setting with trails and borders a waterway, with several buildings that inform about the natural world in the area. It has a gift shop that showcases Thorton Burgess' books, who was a very prolific writer of books on animals, birds and the natural world, who grew up in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Most books are geared towards children, but not all. Even the children's books have information that help understand the animals roles on Cape Cod. Read moreFabulous historic place! The home of Peter rabbit. In the summer they have many animals in the education center, including Peter himself some of which you can pet or hold. There are lovely gardens in the front and back as well as a pond. If you're lucky, you will see the swan family swimming around. We loved all the flowers, the pond, picnic tables, watching the woman make marmalade through the window . We didn’t go in the kids learning area because it was closed that day (bummer!)
