Did a five mile loop on weekend. We parked right in front of visitor centre as the other two parking midways had ‘high theft’ warning . I talked to the staff in visitor centre who confirmed about the place being high risk and warned us not to leave any bags behind in the car. The parking is 5 dollar per vehicle.

The trees at this time of year are of beautiful shade of green. The section along the river has nice views . The other parts of trail later in the circuit have constant car noise. It was little muddy in the few spots.

One irritating thing was to encounter many poop bags left on the trail instead of being trashed at right place. The dogs were leashed though.

Overall , it was easy recreational hike with almost flat terrain and good place for people living in dunwoody...

Great place to hike or visit. I hike at this location nearly every weekend, and it's wonderful. I consider the trails to be moderate, they are well-maintained and I always feel safe here when hiking alone. The rangers at the lodge are professional, friendly and helpful., the little gift shop is nice, and the bathrooms are clean. Which leads me to why I took one significant star off - many of us hike earlier in the day, and everyone who I have met who is there before 9 has a valid complaint of no bathrooms. Other places I hike have unlocked bathrooms available anytime or at least a porta potty. Big miss for this location and visitors need to know this, but otherwise everything is great here. Please provide a restroom option for...

They are back open but have moved around a little inside to keep better spacing. For those on active duty or veterans, you can get a free one year park pass here by showing military ID. This national park pass can be used at all national parks and can save you some nice cash. Park ranger was very nice and informative! Restrooms are very clean here. Great park for a short hike along the river or a longer 6...

Nice building and a good respite from the heat after a vigorous hike. Pretty standard in terms of displays. A little more for sale than expected. Rangers are always helpful and full of information. The area is one of our favorite places for a short hike. Interesting walk along the river and some good uphill and downhill as you leave the riverbed. Almost always some geese to watch and wildflowers in bloom.

Great Send Off to hike along the river or woods. The facility is staffed (for now, but will be reduced thx to DJT/DOGE) with rangers and has rest rooms. The Ranger can provide guidance on trails and activities and are very kind. Don't forget to pick up your National Park Gear Hats, hiking sticks at the visitors lodge. Also a great place to Launch your kayaks, paddle boards too...
