First time at Sandy ridge today. Overall experience was amazing. Went with my buddy and 10-year-old. The parking lot is a good size and has ADA spaces available as well as a public restroom. It seems that you need a day pass or seasonal pass in advance so be forewarned. You can then climb up a paved road to multiple trail systems that range from green, blue, to black. There's something for every level of rider and today we stayed on some blue and green trails enjoying a little bit of technical writing but mostly lots of flowy trails. While the ride up was grueling for the 10-year-old for the average rider it's within the range of normal and the trails were phenomenal. I only wish I had taken more pictures and will definitely be back!

Does it look like I’m going slow?! I am! Haha this was my first time mountain biking in the Pacific Northwest. It was really hard to bike up, yes, really hard. There were folks who were much faster than us and are clearly in great shape. We stopped partway up the mountain and hopped on the trail. Other people went all the way to the top. Wherever you start, you’ll have so much fun! The journey up is hard and the path down is fast and flows well. One of my favorite things I’ve done.

One of the best spots to MTB around. After parking in the lot it is about a 3.5 mile incline to the top so be prepared for that. Either set up a shuttle or have an E-MTB or be ready for a workout 😁 On the way down there are all kinds of options depending on your skill level. I’m a fan of Two turntables and a microwave myself.

Loved going there but my inexperience landed me in trouble. I gave a low rating for one main reason. I understood that the “ Homestead Trail” around the parking lot was an easy beginners trail. I can ride a bike fine but my experience on this “easy trail” ended me up in the Er department with two fractured ribs. There is an untailored bridge there with frequent un level downgrades and log and boulder distractions. On one of these I was too far over my handle bars and needed to brake abruptly. I went over the bars and landed on my back hitting a boulder. The rest was history. Give caution to the descriptions given of all trails and remember...

I came here to check out a new place and man it was amazing! It has easy access and a big parking lot that even accommodates rvs with long parking and loops. There are also plenty of car and truck parking spots with a restroom house in the middle of the parking lot. There are trail maps set up at the beginning of the climb, which is a road that takes you up for access to all of the trails. The trails are nice with plenty of different features. Overall a great system with a nice parking lot and trails.
