Typically a covered bridge will have some port areas to stand and have some views to scan up or down a river. This particular river Piscataquis,in this section has a clear rocky bottom...however the covered bridge it is,more like a sealed fortress. A pigeons nightmare. At least there's no droppings The town selectman might ask neighboring N,E,S,W..towns to show some respect and responsibility and take pride in what surrounds them. We have bridges in Manchester,NH albeit not covered we too should be more responsible and respectful and pick up our neighborhoods. As individuals set an example to all our our future children and make life sparkle no matter where we thrive. When Mainers visit our NH towns it is all a reflection of each of us.. get...

I am 61 years old and this is the first time I've been in the New England area and also the first time I've seen a covered bridge. It's nice but I've seen alot prettier ones in magazines and movies. We don't have this sort of thing in Phoenix due to probably NO WATER! So this is different for me. It kind of reminds me of that Clint Eastwood movie, The Bridges of Madison County. It is a...

Halloween 2019. Great vista looking over the river and bridge. A bit brisk and misty, perfect for this outing. There is so much History here, I stopped every turnout. We did cross the bridge. I was driving by the covered bridge, when I noticed there was a spot to pull into. The scenery look out of the covered bridge was a good place to pull into and check out the covered bridge. Save off the road and not to have to worry about speeding traffic going by. You can drive through the covered bridge. Plenty of places to take good pictures of the covered bridge.
