10 stars if I could!! This place is just miles different from similar "farm experiences" around LA.... the opportunity for kids to interact with animals face to face and get very close was such a treat (baby chicks/ducklings, rabbits, peacock, pigs, goats) old fashioned pony rides.such as those banned at griffith.and underwood. My kids had so much fun!! The wrist band for unlimited rides is must otherwise the prices are steep! Wrist band is only way to go. 2 adults free with 1 kiddie wristband. Age 2 and under free The registration staff was very kind. The other stations are run by mostly teenagers who were hardworking and had good knowledge of the farm and animals. Especially the two teen boys at the kids' archery/ kids' bean bag toss + the panning for really went out of their way to make my kids' experience special. The kids walked out of that station with confidence and feeling so accomplished. My son keeps asking to do archery at home and asking me to make targets in the backyard.
Food was unique offering (fresh made , huge pupusas to order with all the delicious condiments) we ate three bowls of the curtido. Which was technically a condiment. Haha They had standard fare as well (like hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs and kettle corn)
No lines on a Saturday. We felt very lucky to have discovered this place.
The only area in which underwood has an upper hand is the tractor experience. Underwood just has a lot more acreage and great pick your own with seemingly endless fields of...
Read moreI understand that this is a family friendly place...but they are a little too family friendly when it comes to more adult activities like the archery and axe throwing. On their website and all the price boards they had up for every activity, it specifically said that the archery and axe throwing was best for people 10 years and up. Families of course ignored this and had their 5 and 6 year doing this, as well as even 9 and 10 year olds on their own without a parent to help them. This caused the lines to be almost 2 hours long for archery alone because everyone has to wait for everyone to be done in order to retrieve their arrows and go for the next round. It was utterly ridiculous and not worth the $25 it was to do it. They need to have separate shooting ranges for kids and adults because it just made the trip miserable waiting that long for one activity. I had bought tickets for other things as well and didn't have time for them because of this one line for archery. The tickets for any activities you get are not refundable either. The only Savin grace is that we got to put our unused tickets toward a discount on the Pumpkins we bought from their pumpkin patch so it wasn't a total waste of money. Still, they need to figure out a better way to reduce line waits between kids and adults instead of having everyone wait for incabable little kids who shouldn't be doing the activity to begin with because they physically...
Read moreOn the webpage this farm states that it accepts ADA certified service animals for humans with disabilities and it is NOT true. I brought my ADA certified dog, on leash and wearing a clearly identifiable vest, to this farm and was greeted by the owners’ dogs, one of which attempted to attack my dog and I had to pick him up to avoid getting bitten, and a screaming owner who yelled that I was unable to read the signs that said no animals allowed (there were none visible on the premise from the road to the parking lot and the parking lot to the pumpkin patch) and screaming that I needed to leave immediately. I was totally embarrased being so clearly discriminated and publically shamed for being disabled and bringing a service animal on the premise when the webpage says that it is acceptable. For those who are disabled or support that people with disabilites should be able to enjoy activities the able people can, this is NOT the farm for you. I formally request that the owner takes off the webpage that ADA animals and their disabled owners are welcome because that is clearly...
