The incline and descent can be pretty brutal. Especially if you're hiking with gear. If you're hiking between Scorpion and Prisoners Harbor/Del Norte, the path crosses the summit at 1800ft. But I highly recommend it for the...

The best of all the trails to see the island interior that you can easily do in a day. About 5 miles with 500' elevation gain. Definitely, hike up the canyon first as it is steep and a lot easier to go...
