Homeless Garden Project Farm Stand — Attraction in Santa Cruz

Fantastic non-profit organization that provides job training, transitional employment, and support services to individuals in Santa Cruz who are experiencing homelessness.

From a pre-picked to U-pick the CSA through Homeless Garden Project provides fresh, organic, nutritious food. The strawberries are the absolute best, while my personal favorite is the selection of summer squash.

I really could rave on about this organization. The staff is friendly, the farm stand is well stocked with handcrafted locally sources goods, and the farm itself is a hard won slice of paradise. That's not to mention how vitally important the services they provide are to the community.

The farm is beautiful and thriving! You can volunteer there on Thursday and Friday from 10-2:30, or go on the weekend to buy flowers and veggies and strawberries that you pick yourself.
