Wonderful organization providing job skill training and resources to people experiencing homelessness. Visit the Farm Stand on Shaffer Road or just drop in to the urban garden to enjoy the healing benefits of being in a garden. Hear about people who are growing new pathways for life! Also shop at both stores in Santa Cruz and Capitola to see the products being made from fruits, vegetables, and flowers grown on the Farm!

This is a great project and welcomes locals to pick up their own strawberries or fresh leafy greens and herbs. They also encourage volunteers to help with gardening. It’s a win-win. A great place to learn to grow veggies and support a good cause. Strawberries are in season and they are as sweet as honey. Pick some before it’s late!

Volunteering here is easy, fun, and grounding. Simply show up during hours, sign a waiver, and you're good to go. Its so peaceful and beautiful here. It's honestly a great idea for a date to volunteer here together. I love going on the weekends just to weed for a couple hours with my partner and friends.

Fantastic non-profit organization that provides job training, transitional employment, and support services to individuals in Santa Cruz who are experiencing homelessness.

From a pre-picked to U-pick the CSA through Homeless Garden Project provides fresh, organic, nutritious food. The strawberries are the absolute best, while my personal favorite is the selection of summer squash.

I really could rave on about this organization. The staff is friendly, the farm stand is well stocked with handcrafted locally sources goods, and the farm itself is a hard won slice of paradise. That's not to mention how vitally important the services they provide are to the community.

The farm is beautiful and thriving! You can volunteer there on Thursday and Friday from 10-2:30, or go on the weekend to buy flowers and veggies and strawberries that you pick yourself. Everyone there is kind and helpful, and the farm manager is extremely knowledgeable and has a great holistic perspective about farming and Community that is joyous to see and hear about. I absolutely...
