Shout out to Robin! For being our tour host and answering questions, we had about Haak & the wines, an experience that was 5 star! Haak Vineyard offers a picturesque setting with its well-maintained vineyard, beautiful architecture, and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The grounds are perfect for a leisurely stroll, and there are ample outdoor seating areas to enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the scenery. The wine selection at Haak Vineyard is impressive, showcasing a variety of wines that cater to different palates. They are particularly known for their Madeira, a fortified wine that has garnered attention and praise. The tasting room offers a diverse lineup, including whites, reds, rosés, and dessert wines. The knowledgeable staff is usually on hand to guide visitors through the tasting experience, making recommendations based on preferences. Visitors often highlight the friendly and knowledgeable staff who provide excellent service during tastings. The tasting experience is both educational and enjoyable, with staff members taking the time to explain the nuances of each wine. The flights are well-curated, allowing guests to explore the breadth of Haak’s offerings. Some visitors have noted that the tastings can be crowded on weekends, so it might be worth visiting during off-peak hours for a more intimate experience. Haak Vineyard occasionally offers food pairings with their wines, enhancing the tasting experience. The winery also hosts various events, such as wine dinners and festivals, which are well-organized and fun. These events provide a great opportunity to enjoy the wines in a festive atmosphere. Haak Vineyard and Winery, Inc. is a delightful spot for both casual wine drinkers and connoisseurs. The combination of a beautiful setting, a strong selection of wines, and friendly service makes it a must-visit if you’re in the Santa Fe area. Whether you’re there for a tasting, an event, or just to enjoy the ambiance, Haak delivers a...
Read moreOur wedding at Haak Winery was absolutely incredible, and Kristen Wollenberg was such a fantastic facilitator! From the very start, Kristen made everything smooth, easy, and stress-free.
Pam was exceptional and truly amazing in helping everything flow perfectly on our special day.
A couple of things to keep in mind: the venue comfortably fits about 125 guests rather than the 150 it sometimes mentions, especially if you plan to have a live band. While this wasn't an issue for us personally, it's just something future couples might want to keep in mind for planning purposes. Additionally, since this is Houston and the weather can be unpredictable, we strongly recommend asking about tent options in case of rain, including understanding the costs involved, any additional steps needed such as rearranging the seating or adjusting the timeline, and possibly having this detailed within your contract for an outdoor wedding.
We also found having our dedicated Wedding Coordinator / Team incredibly beneficial for our wedding, especially since it was a larger wedding. It's also a great idea to meet Pam or whoever your main contact will be well before the wedding day and maintain communication with them from the beginning. This early communication will help you feel prepared and in control of your special day.
One final note: we weren't impressed with the tablecloths provided by the venue due to their quality and color options, so we suggest bringing your own if possible.
Overall, our experience was nothing short of incredible. The food was fantastic, and the cake was amazing! We highly recommend Haak Winery to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with an amazing team. Thank you again, Kristen and Pam, for making our day so special! We can't wait for you to experience the magic of Haak Winery on your own...
Read moreThis was my first time there in the evening to hear a band. I love the fact that it's outside and they have good entertainers. I got there early so that we could get a table and was waiting in line for a glass of wine. Two other lines opened up during that time and everyone was confused as to which line to be in because there were no signs telling us any differently. The lines do move slowly since they uncork wines as they serve them. After waiting a good 15 or so I was told I could have my glass of wine, but that I would have to get into another line for a wristband even though I had bought my ticket online and could not get into another line for food until I had my wristband. None of this was explained to head of time and the people giving out the wristbands we're not even there when I got into the line for wine. So then I had to wait in another line for about another 15 minutes to get my wristband and then wait in the food line. I think it was a little disorganized and wish that there had been more instructions and signs explaining things. I understand that they're under construction so the front door is not available and they did have a sign saying to go around to the back but it was behind a parked truck so we did not see that at first. Once we got around to the back we didn't see anyone to go to to check in and really didn't know what to do. There was a lot of confusion for everyone there. The band was great so after all of that was taken care of we had fun but it was very confusing in...
