In my opinion, this is the most beautiful beach in Florida ! We did the East side and the west side of florida and this section has the most beautiful sand ! Yes, it’s a national park so, you have to pay for the entrance . I suggest you to buy the annual pass for every national park !….. it’s only 80$ a year and you can visit every parks in the USA for free ! This beach is not crowdy as Pensacola beach ….. it’s a lot better if you are with young kids . You can also see the blue angels sometime or other military aircraft or helicopter ! I also suggest you to arrive in the morning because the parking spots are very limited . The water is also always more calm in the morning so, if you want to do some snorkeling and see beautiful fishes , rays and dolphins , the best time is in the morning ! This beach is also not too far from the Pensacola pier and the shopping place . There is also good restaurant not too far ….. so, you have everything around you to spend a very nice day with family and friends ! The sunset is also amazing and your wife will like to take a lot of nice pictures ! At around 4:00-5:00 pm there is a lot chances you will see dolphins !….. they are always not too far ! Hope you will enjoy good time with...
Read moreI never review, but after this experience, I was thoroughly impressed. I've been to a number of other beaches beaches such as Myrtle, Virginia, Hilton Head, Panama City, but this one has to be the best thus far.
I had a phenomenal experience here with my family. Langdon Beach is truly a hidden gem tucked within the Gulf Islands National Seashore.
The facilities near the beach are convenient, including two showering stations to rinse off sand, decent restrooms, and a nice, shaded picnic table area right on the beach.
This beach is more peaceful and cleaner than most. The sand is quite beautiful, and looks like actual snow from a distance. The water is blue-green and clear; we saw many fish, dolphins, birds, a crab, and a variety of other wildlife. In addition, the slope of the beach is very gradual, so it's perfect for families w/ small children.
Know before you go: -There is a $15 fee to get into the Gulf Islands National Seashore. -Langdon Beach is in close proximity to Ft. Pickens.
Truth to be told, we actually went to Langdon Beach instead of Pensacola Beach (where we were planning on spending the majority of our visit). Needless to say, we'll be...
Read moreIt's my favorite beach for my daughter and me to enjoy a day of sun, sand and waves! Plenty of people are on the beach at any given time, but it's not as crowded as other local beaches. You must pay an entrance fee to enter the national park in order to use this beach. Yearly passes are available at a reasonable price, which pays for it's self after two or three visits. I believe this contributes to it being a bit cleaner. There's a great pavilion for shaded picnics, with adequate restrooms on one end and showers for rinsing of the sand and salt, at the other. The pavilion has ramp access from the parking lot and another ramp going down...
