Still not entirely sure what I found. I was just out exploring, following a trail that wasn’t on any of the usual maps, when I saw it—a massive concrete structure rising out of the hills like it had been placed there by something not of this world. There’s no signage, no obvious entrance, and yet it doesn’t feel abandoned. It feels watched. The main tower... it’s hard to describe. It’s like a monument, or maybe a transmitter. The walls have these strange, almost symbolic carvings. Inside, light pours down from a skylight in such a specific way, it almost feels like it’s meant to guide someone—or something. The space is silent. Not empty, but waiting. I caught a glimpse of some old tech tucked behind a half-closed panel. Not modern. Not military. Not anything I recognized. And yet, the whole place felt peaceful, like it’s been quietly guarding the world for a long time. I couldn’t shake the sense that I wasn’t supposed to be there—but not in a threatening way. More like I was brushing up against something ancient and protective. Like I had wandered too close to a threshold between ordinary life and something... far bigger. I left changed. Can’t explain how. Just—if you find it, approach with respect. Whatever it is... it’s not done yet.

The House of the Book building was used as the Command Chamber in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Camp Khitomer in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and Lore's Borg compound in the two-part Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Descent".

I don't care what the inside looks like but the outside is the real deal. This is indeed the real set of the Command Center used for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, one of my many childhood dream was to come to this place and I'm glad I finally get to see it with my own eyes. Despite how many wildfires California had over the years, this monument still stand. That's legendary...

We had the most wonderful time having our wedding here. The food, the staff, the service, the venue, everything. We made it a weekend wedding with ax throwing, archery, and the pool and we thought it was such a fun way to enjoy time with our family and friends. It was such a beautiful and special place. They really made my wedding...
