Except for the view, our visit was a disappointment. We paid for a cellar master tasting and ended up cutting our time short due to marginal wine that fell below expectations. As a positive, our table was reserved and a humble cheese side plate was awaiting but we were seated next to and among noisy party groups and it was difficult to hear the info shared by the host. He identified himself as the sommelier but honestly we question his credentials due to his limited knowledge of where the grapes originated, lack of adjectives to describe them and he offered little more than pouring. They did move us to another area recognizing it was less than optimal with the noise. Aside from a suitable Chardonnay that was served under temp and overpriced in our opinion , we found the Pinots and Syrah lacking depth or lasting impression. It being our first visit, we thought a cellar master tasting would involve more of an educational and private experience so if you are expecting that then you are better off bringing your own wine and picnic and...
Read moreThis is a lovely local spot with a fantastic view. You really feel like you are out in the country and you needn't drive far to get here! The glasses are very expensive, but I'll take it for the view. I didn't find the staff terribly friendly as others commented. Also we asked for another glass at 455 (closing at 5pm) and they turned us down..... I found that quite disappointing given the copious amounts of alcohol others were still consuming. Also come ,525 they were making no indication to push anyone off the premesis. I would have liked more genuinely customer-service oriented staff. Although understandably they may be tired at the end of...

The sampling of four was quite enjoyable although maybe one more variety would have helped filled out the experience a bit more as four seemed to go by a tad quick. Each varietal was well crafted and the Merlot was a pleasant surprise. Overall solid, consistent delivery and oh, that view over the whole valley. Downtown SJ and Apple Park were clearly in sight. Great seating, too, as evidenced by all the...
