Panola Playhouse — Attraction in Sardis

Talented acting cast and crew behind the scenes. We would have enjoyed it more if we didn't have staff members sitting behind us in seats I paid for (and couldn't get refunded due to the play being PG13 that was not posted anywhere to forewarn parents) whooping and hollering throughout the entire play. From their friends entering stage, to lifts in dances, to holding long notes in songs, to scenes ending, they screamed and hollered and whooped and called throughout. It took away from being immersed into the story, ambience, and feeling the passion and feelings of the actors as they show off their hard work. The staff members definitely robbed everyone in that room, from the paying audience to the cast members who spend a lot of their time perfecting their craft to bring enjoyment to the audience. This is a great little theatre in Sardis,MS. They offer live stage performances and other events. I saw a very impressive performance of Aladden by children here. The kids certainly put all my childhood acting performances to shame and they certainly were at a far higher level than any other all kids performance I have seen!
