Big Marine Lake — Attraction in Scandia

Not a bad Lake during the week, not going to catch huge fish but can catch some small ones. During the weekend too many people with their daddy's boat or jet ski they don't know proper Lake etiquette. This weekend all kinds of yahoos at the launch and some guy on a jet ski doing donuts about 20 yards away with the Washington county guys on shore going up over boats inch by inch but can't say anything to the guy on the jet ski making Waves for everybody at the launch. Won't be long before we'll all have to go across the border to get away from the population and catch some fish. Would like to know where all the park fees go and people who get citations where that money goes. Park ranger shed never has anyone in it never DNR on the lake or any other Lakes and every lake is over ran with weeds. But I'll see the DNR in county folks downtown Minneapolis in a tricked out truck and boat- news flash not going to do much...

Very impressed! The playground is huge with tons of fun features for kids of all ages. The beach is all soft sand and crystal clear water. It is a bit shallow which is great for little ones but the older kids were a bit disappointed that there was no "deep end". Plenty of bench seating and picnic tables. The bathrooms are large, modern, and clean. Overall the entire park is pristine and I would highly recommend...

Our extensive family of Uncles, Aunts, cousins, and occasionally friends spent many years camping and fishing on this legendary Lake!!! The fishing is excellent, swimming is fantastic, all-around safe, and the best part is keeping the family's tradition alive...
