Log House Landing — Attraction in Scandia

This is a small boat/canoe-kayak launch. There is a sharp~90 degree turn at the bottom of the approach. Never meant to be used by larger boats. There used to be boulders at the entry to the water that have been removed and the turn area radius was decreased to make launchings easier. Put in downstream at William O'Brien state park if you need a more improved launch. Rustic, rock, sand, and gravel landing. The ramp is pretty steep. No parking lot. Parking is along one side of the gravel road, so if it's busy, you may have to park up the road a ways. Great place for small craft like canoe, Kayak in or out. You can back down the ramp if you're a skilled driver, and if your boat is heavy at all, you'd want 4-wheel drive to get back up the ramp.
