All my LGBT friends, family, and supporters of the LGBT community. I don't ever post things like this but I wanted to bring it up. My wife and I went on a wine tour last year for our anniversary and one place that we loved the one at is called Majek Winery, not far outside Houston. We had sense gone back twice to pick our wine up, and both times that we went the atmosphere complete changed when we walked in holding hands. I ended up canceling our membership, and actually wrote an email why we canceled. At NO POINT did they ever apologize for the way that we were treated, and just took our cancellation. When they finally called after a month of requesting to cancel, I spoke with the owner, who gave me a run around about the wine, canceled the membership, and again at no point addressed the e-mail I sent. We are huge wine loves and it is a shame that we canceled, however I feel like I should make those aware who love wine as much as we do; and to be aware of this place if you are going on a weekend wine tour. The hardest part about this is, if you want to discriminate by all means that is your prerogative, however have the decency to be up front about it rather than making others feel...

I purchased a Groupon for a wine tasting and charcuterie board while visiting Houston after a concert I planned to attend was postponed. Looking for a unique experience to make the most of my weekend, I came across this winery—and I’m so glad I did.

I visited in the early afternoon, and the drive out was beautiful and peaceful. Although it was busy due to Memorial Day weekend, the staff was still incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive.

I chose Blanc du Bois, Barbera, Tempranillo, and Riesling for my tasting, and all of them were delicious. The charcuterie board was fresh, well-balanced, and nicely presented.

There was also a bridal party nearby that brought a fun, lighthearted energy to the atmosphere and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

This visit turned an unexpected weekend into a memorable one. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and...

My first visit to any vineyard or winery. I accompanied my wife, and neither of us knew what to expect. We are not really wine drinkers; I only have what I consider a glass of red wine each evening, after my doctor’s suggestion.

We were quickly greeted, and shown a table. In a short amount of time, our server, Allie, introduced herself to us. We explained that neither of us had ever been to a winery, nor a wine tasting event, so we were going to require some coaching. Allie was extremely friendly and personable, and the three of us were immediately laughing and cutting up. And we had not even had our first sip of wine!

Allie explained to us the different wines on the list, and made recommendations based on our level of inexperience with wine.

Allie and Majek’s Winery made my wife’s and my first visit to a winery and wine tasting, one that we will remember for...

This picturesque vineyard, tasting room, and holiday cabin are one of the best wineries I've ever visited. They have a broad assortment of wines that includes reds, whites, and dessert vintages. Our favorite was Cardinals Crown, with its rich and complex flavor. Their neat fields of vines slope gently down to the tranquil farmhouse, which is surrounded by fruit trees, playful dogs, and the window neatly framing it from the tasting room's overlook. They also have a delicious food menu, making it easy to stay all afternoon. The winery is an easy drive from Schulenburg, past one of the famous painted churches. We stayed at the vacation rental cabin, which was a piece of luxury in a rustic setting. It allowed us to end each day making s'mores and begin each day watching wildlife cross the fields. What a place.

This is one of the rare times We write a review, meaning, We love this place. We have very few TEXAS wineries that We absolutely love and this is one of them. What drew me here was the fact that they said they have a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the texas high plains. Normally they come from that state whose bleeding citizens at the moment to Texas ( California ). We took the 2 hour trip to Majek winery and We were not disappointed, We did the tasting and ended up ordering a bottle. We are now fans. Might sign up for there club or just order bottles for the holiday ( yes this makes a great holiday wine for Family fun time, put the kids to bed) .
