The Oaks at High Hill Venue — Attraction in Schulenburg

Wow! This venue is beautiful! My niece had her wedding here this past weekend. Family stayed in the cozy cottages and a few of us rented the containers. The staff are very attentive to your needs. If you needed cots, extra blankets and pillows, you just texted and someone would get them to you. They had golf carts on hand for you to use to move around on the property. Bbq pits and plenty of space for your family to plan activities leading up to the wedding. The big tree, where the wedding took place outdoors was beautiful! The inside venue was fabulous! Loved, loved the chandeliers! It was very elegant! Plenty of restrooms and the staff at bar were on point with their customer service. We had the reception dinner on the patio and they had the fire pits going. The bar was available from the outside and we were able to play our music. They have corn holes for entertainment, too. You could see all the stars at night. The bridal suite was very roomy for the brides. They have seating stations for applying makeup and styling hair. I would say bring your own lighting for makeup, but who knows, after ready this they might put lights at each mirror! Lol! That’s how accommodating they are! This venue is definitely worth every penny for your family and guest to have a good time and to have memories created! Thank you! Oh I don’t remember the local caterer my niece used, but they had delicious food!! Hotels were less than 10 min to get to. The Comfort Inn was really nice....

We had our wedding out there on 2/25/2022 and I honestly can't say enough about the Venue. I wish I would have booked their coordinator as the one I did book was not associated with the venue and just missed the mark. So if you do need a coordinator, I would recommend the one staffed by The Oaks at High Hill. The owners Robert (Rob) and Clarissa were so nice to work with. I dealt mostly with Rob and he was great with communications, anytime I had a question or concern. He never had a long delay in his response, he would either address the question right away or schedule a time with me, if he was with another client so we could talk. The cabins they offer for over night stay are clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were just amazing. We had a minor hiccup on the first night out there but Rob and his staff were quick to address /correct the concern. The staff that was present were so friendly, polite and helpful. The Venue is well loved and cared for. We had access to their decor as well as what we provided. If I had to do our wedding all over again, I would change a few things but...

I have to say the venue is beautiful and everyone had a great time. There were other things that brought my rating down. We had to pay in full 6 months in advance which included the alcohol package, and they came back 3 times trying to get more money for the alcohol. They ran out of some of the beer during cocktail hour and said there was a 3 day event prior to our wedding and they ran out. Luckily they ran to the store and got some more. They talked up the Groom's cabin saying they would have a great BBQ and drinks served while the men got ready. Not true. They had some burgers on the patio by the venue in the heat and flies all around, and did not tell anyone about it. The bridal suite was so hot, that the girls were getting over heated and had to sit in the venue to cool off.
