The Delhi bridge was closed for many years. Through some great cooperative efforts of the washtenaw county historic preservation planner and the county road commission the bridge was restored and improved to handle modern traffic loads. This is important because the entry to the metro park is less than a block away. This is a beautiful open space park with some play structures, benches, trails, and plenty of trees. The whole thing is neatly tucked into a bow of the Huron River which adds to the natural beauty. Perfect for pickniks and a ready destination that is easily accessible in all senses of the word. Read moreThere are 3 or 4 Metroparks within an hour of each other in the Ann Arbor area. This is one of them. All are clean and have areas for picnics and other activities ranging from Hiking, Fishing, Golf (Disc or regular), canoeing/kayaking OR RELAXING! We visited 3 on the same day and I can't recall exactly which one Delhi was, but I know it had at least one trail that had nice views of rivers, steams and wooded areas.

Read moreIt was magical and beautiful beyond belief. The river was clear and shallow. We saw minnows swimming through the water. Surrounded by trees on the banks of the river we took off our shoes and waded into the water not sure if you are allowed to do it but it wasn't posted not to. No swimming and I understand why. It's so beautiful you wouldn't want to destroy it with swimmers and litter. My daughter is 7 and she loved it. Kayaking is allowed and looks amazing.
