Utterly breathtaking! I would love to know more about the tower, and now must go home and research! There’s an adorable park right next to it too! It’s fenced in (which is great for watching kiddos), and there’s a sand area and swings and a larger and smaller climbing and slide place and more. It’s so cute! Also, there’s a huge field with two baseball diamond on either end and lots of soccer nets and green space in the middle, Plenty of free parking. The Tourette is up a bit of an incline if you’re coming from the paying fields (there’s another entrance behind first parish church), so it was hard on my hip and knees, and there is no paved path leading all the way to the playground entrance. There are multiple signs that say “NO dogs allowed!” There ARE times you can climb!!!! Visit the Scituate historical society website!

We weren't able to go inside, not even sure you can ever get inside, but the grounds are beautiful and the architecture is quite stunning. It was interesting to learn that the turret, built in 1902, actually encloses a water tank!

Cool 183 foot tall structure built around a water tank; it was paid for by neighboring Mr. Lawson who found the tank to be an eyesore. I guess there's a great view from the top, but unfortunately it's locked up.

This was a really cool spot to visit. We happened to stop by on a heritage day so it was open on the inside. We got to play songs on the bells from the console room, which was a really neat experience. We didn't get to climb to the top because it was almost closing time when we got there, but I'm sure that would have...
