Its simply amazing. Once you are there you would realize this. Surrounded by ocean from 3 sides. Just amazing. I have been there several times and never feel like- this is it. Every opportunity to go there is a welcome opportunity. If you are a fan of sunrise 🌄 and sunsets 🌅, you must pay couple of visits at least for these two precious moments of everyday. Just note that during different time of year the point of sunrise , sunset view changes; so some time you may not get both views from same spot but I can guarantee for breathtaking views in and around this lighthouse

When we were there, there were NO MOVED barriers or caution tape anywhere in sight. If removed as the reply says, the visitors took all signs and remnants of said barricades or caution tape. There were no signs on either side of the lighthouse and on the right the only way to get around was on the rocks and that not handy-cap accessible. If so, please share a photo. The left has a walkway but this is where the safety issues are for the visitors. The location and views were nice. I did not find any public restrooms. There was a large boom lift parked on the sidewalk by the lighthouse leading to the jetty, boards with nails or screws on and beside the walkway… bad safety issue !!! Had to carry a family member around the lift and then bring the wheel chair past. I would think public safety would be number one at a public park??? Gave it a 3 star for view… 0 for respect for public.

There is plenty of free parking but no public bathrooms. The lighthouse is on private property but you can walk on a path to the side of it. This lighthouse is attached to a light keeper’s house but it isn’t open to the public. There was some renovation going on at the time we were there. You can walk and explore pretty far on the jetties. The lighthouse is surrounded by ocean with great views and very windy. You will drive through a unique looking town to get to the Scituate Lighthouse. I highly recommend coming here.

I would love to actually take a tour of it but I was not there at the right time. Worth stopping to see though! A side note: as you are driving to see the lighthouse check out the little red house with the jug built into the top of the chimney! I was told it was used to let fishermen know if it was safe to go out. If the jug was howling do not go out! ***Also the care takers of the Scituate Lighthouse has done a great job of posting many interesting facts about it all around the lighthouse!***

This is a nice lighthouse. I went here while visiting Massachusetts and was satisfied with my experience. This lighthouse is a tall, skinny white lighthouse located at the end of a suburban housing development. This lighthouse has an attached light keeper’s house, but it isn’t open to the public. There’s a rocky beach by here that you can throw rocks from, and there are several large boulders you can scramble on as well. I gave this lighthouse five stars because it has a nice beach.

Beautiful place! Unfortunately, the light was not on the lighthouse, likely removed for repairs. We were hoping to view the inside of the lighthouse but it is posted as private. Speaking with a couple of locals was enlightening on the community, which is well kept up and beautiful! The waters here, according to locals, can be treacherous due to all the rock and winds... encourage you to talk to the locals, very interesting information.
