I've been coming up here for years. I'm not sure why this state park has been neglected and ran down. Even the basic maintenance has gone down hill. Be careful if you're planning on launching your boat at this location, the way they have the boat dock positioned, makes it hard to get much more than 1 boat out at a time, and even worse if there's a couple of boats tied up at the dock. Just getting down to the boat ramp, you have to weave in and out of tree branches and shrubs that should have been cut years ago. What are the camp hosts and maintenance crew doing? In June we were there and they still hadn't fixed the fish cleaning station by the restrooms. At least they had the restrooms finally opened from the previous weeks. I'm sure they getting funds, not sure why the State is neglecting this park. Site 69 boasts beautiful views and convenient access to a water pump, perfect for those who value scenic beauty and practicality. The reservoir is quiet with minimal traffic, making it a great spot for boaters and fishermen seeking tranquility. The clean bathrooms and the friendly, helpful attendees enhance the overall experience.

Despite these minor inconveniences, the campground's positive attributes make it a worthy destination for outdoor...
Read moreWe love Scofield! Our family has been visiting Scofield for over 12 years now. We own a cabin up there on the west side of the lake, so we don't ever go to the public camping. We have lots of friends that own a cabin on the west as well & have been visiting there for even longer. We go there a few times a year. They do a big event for the 4th of July with a parade, boutique, and fireworks. There is one little gas station. There are no restaurants, shopping, or things to do like that in the small town of Scofield, but there's plenty of off-roading sports & water sports to do, & that's what we go for. You can hit Fairview or Helper Utah for shopping, Food, & other activities. If you haven't visited Scofield yet,...
