It is a very popular park and well thought of. It is a narrow but quite long park. There is no parking. The park just north often has a full lot. If you live in the area then having no parking is preferable. The park is always maintained. People walk, ride bikes plus skate and just relax. The western edge of the park is residential and when their bushes are in bloom are a beautiful sight. There is a very small pond at the north end. Being part of the flood plain green belt you can take almost any length of walk. If trees were added it might be considered for Disc golf? Since our area has many parks I don't share the enthusiasm shown by other Camelback Park visitors. I have not experienced the sidewalk every being busy. NOTE: Bureaucracy has struck this stretch of park. At odd times one used to be able to throw a frisbee or ball for one's dog without worrying about police or dog catchers et cetera. Those times are over as the increasing density of Scottsdale has made it impossible to have a dog off leash without some busy body messing with you. The city is certainly not the West's most Western town anymore. Now the park is mostly empty except for people strolling through on the path. Even the family of coyotes that used to live here have deserted the park. The police couldn't arrest BLM rioters but boy or boy they can warn people not to have their...
Read moreI passed through this park while walking on the Indian Bend Green Belt trail. It was very small and I walked through it in just 5 minutes. It was just a bunch a grass with the concrete sidewalk in the middle. I honestly was not impressed. For some reason, I thought this was Camelback Mountain when I saw it on the map. Lo and behold- no mountain here! So, if you are new to the area, just a heads up. Don't get the...
