The Wedding Barn & Event Center — Attraction in Searcy

Tina was definitely my calm during my storm! When your baby girl says yes I want my wedding at a venue and you plan it mom. What do you do? You get to planning! After a year of planning for the perfect day you’re all set and ready to put all the pieces of the puzzle together on Friday the day before the Big day. But on your way to the venue Friday morning you receive a message from your DJ (whom you have also rented white chairs, Photo Booth, sparkler boxes, marquee letters, and other decor) that he is sick with Covid, he’s contagious, but he has a back up DJ. But all your other items were loaded on the trailer ready to be delivered and my trailer was stolen last night! Your heart sinks, you pull over on the side of the road and have a complete melt down! Pull yourself together and continue on to the venue where your baby girl and all her bridesmaids are waiting to get this party started. You walk in with tear filled eyes, and just hand your phone over and say read the text. This is where Tina saves the day! She said “Don’t worry it’s going to be ok, and it’s going to be a beautiful day!” She made some calls, I made some calls, and together we pulled it off! Unprofessional, rude, hazardous. I was a guest at a wedding event, I had pointed out a potential fire hazard in the heater. When I mentioned it to the owner, she got really sour with me and said "yeah I'm having people coming to fix it". Okay...I'm trying to help you out so no one gets hurt but whatever. Just to describe it, it is a metal tube then a metal cover over it. Now idk if the metal was rusted away or the heater was running for too long but the tube had a hole in it at the top (not in the design) and there was an open flame with just a metal cover between that and wood. Now for the wedding day, she would randomly be there then leave. She didn't have any formal clothes, and stayed for the fathers 1st look. Then for the people that did stay in the guest house, it was filthy. There were also so many other things that went...

My nephew and his wife were married in “the barn” on New Years Eve. I was confused as to why they picked a place so far out. When I got there I realized it was a great venue! Lots of room. You can arrange the seating multiple ways. They started the ceremony when the sun was spilling though the windows. The pictures outside and inside turned out amazing. The only downside would be if you wanted alcohol at your event. They don’t allow it on the premises and it’s in a dry county. I understand the complexities of having intoxicated people in your facility. That wasn’t an issue for my nephew’s wedding but it may be for others. Also I didn’t have very good cell service out there. It was hard to get my GPS back up to get directions to my hotel. Other than that the wedding was perfect. I highly...
