The first time I visited, I took the Clatsop Trail which is pretty narrow. It was very muddy this time, so I took the Canon Beach Trail to be safe. The Canon Beach Trail is about 95% uphill and it did not feel that way to me when I took the Clatsop Trail. I went up for the sunset and it was pretty dark on the way back down, so keep that in mind.
