Dear Halleck Team, I recently attended my first wine tasting with you, and I wanted to share both my appreciation for the experience and some challenges I’ve encountered since. First, the tasting itself was wonderful. Jennifer, our host, was excellent—knowledgeable, kind, and empathetic. The wines were well-balanced with a long, pleasant finish. I discovered that my palate leans toward Pinot Noir, which I especially enjoyed. While I appreciated nearly all the wines, *The Little Sister* and *Cuvée* didn’t quite suit my taste. The chocolate we sampled was also delightful and clearly well-tempered. I ordered two boxes, but I received a call the next day explaining they couldn’t be shipped due to the warm weather—a thoughtful gesture that I appreciated. I also placed an order for two bottles of wine. However, the fulfillment process didn’t go as smoothly. My husband received a receipt confirming payment and a credit for the canceled chocolate, but I never received a shipping notification for the wine. It seemed my order had fallen through the cracks. Over the next three weeks, I communicated with both Ross and Jennifer to resolve the issue. When the shipment finally arrived, I received two bottles of *Cuvée*—unfortunately, not the wines I had ordered. Additionally, I was surprised by an unexpected \$5 charge upon pickup at the UPS store. I sent an email requesting a refund but have not yet received a response. While the order experience has been frustrating, I remain grateful for the tasting event and for the friends who introduced me to Halleck and are proud members. Thank you for taking the time to hear my feedback. I hope we can find a resolution to this order mix-up soon. Warm regards, Cecelia July 16, 2025

I drove up to Sebastopol on Halloween, ahead of a special wineroad.com weekend event, and thought I'd looking for a wine tasting opportunity on November 1st. After a bit of searching online, I came across Halleck Vineyard, which offered a wine and small bites event for $65; so, I made a reservation. The intimate experience took place inside the Halleck home on the property. Two couples I didn't know joined me; and, wow...the wines, especially the Pinot Noirs, were phenomenal! Alison hosted, and she was great at making us feel like we were a part of the family. The small bites chosen to pair with the wines were carefully selected and awesome! Besides Alison, Harris Miner, Director of Sales, also happened to be there, and they answered all of our questions. I was so impressed, I joined the Inner Circle Wine Club! About a week after, I received a Club email from the Vineyard about a complementary wine and food event to be held at the Amarano Hotel in Burbank, CA on 11/17 (this past Sunday). Since I live near the San Fernando Valley, I talked my Brother-In-Law into joining me. As we walked into the lobby, there was Harris! He brought a Pinot Noir and their Sauv Blanc ( both yum), and the food served to complement the wines was fantastic! I'm so happy about my decision to visit them the on the 1st. If you're ever in Sonoma County, GO! Wishing Happy Holidays to Alison, Harris, the Hallecks, and everyone else associated with this amazing Vineyard. You can bet their wines will be on my Thanksgiving and Christmas tables this year, and in the future. (-: Steve A.

A friend had booked us a tasting experience at Halleck and its easily one of our top tasting experiences yet! The property is beautiful with a nice little open area and views for days! Even the drive through the trees feels enchanted. David was the best. He took us on a journey and you could tell he knew his stuff. We also had a chance to meet one of the owners which was a nice bonus. The experience itself is intimate because you're with multiple people at your table but you get to experience it together. The food pairings were also delicious. Ok wine time. This was THE best GewĂĽrztraminer I've ever had. Like, you could have a bottle of this easily on your own. We even took a few home to try with Indian food, and it was delicious. Another hit was their Zin which was interestingly like a strawberry rose but again, very easy and tasteful to drink. I cannot wait to go back because I need more of that GewĂĽrztraminer!

Wines are ok but you can find similar wines and better tastings for half the price with other local wineries. Service was rude and pretentious. When you pay $65 per person for a tasting and read all the wonderful reviews online, you expect something special. We were quite underwhelmed.

Fyi: We arrived 6 minutes late at the gate (we checked the phone log), young woman there working alone opens the gate after making us wait for a few minutes. As we park and then walk in, she just scolds us saying that we're late and should not have let us in (after having prepaid $260 for 4 people). She is serving another tasting table, and you could see that the guests were also thrown off by how she was talking to us, and then continues that she doesn't have the time to tell us the story of the place because we're just so late. We remind her that we weren't that late and the confirmation email allows up to 20 minutes). But he passive aggressive attitude just killed the mood from the get go. She was cold and took her time to come to us or serve us (tiny pours by the way), then after 20 minutes she started paying a bit more attention and treated us as if all was well. We tried to move on and stay jolly, but it just felt fake.

Would give 2.5 stars solely for the good wine quality. Taking off - 1 star for the prices, and - 1.5 for the service / experience (which hope is not standard given all the other...
