Really unique and beautiful scenery. I love that I feel immersed in the wilderness since it is away from all the main roads and houses, yet it only takes a few minutes to get here, making it an awesome quick getaway for me and my dogs.
There are not very many trails, so it is more of a picnic area with fabulous views and a few short trails built in. These trails though short, provide a secluded and relaxing escape.
The out house is clean and there are doggy poop bags as well as a trash bin at the parking area. It seems to be kept up very well as I noticed that they replenish the envelopes at the gate and the trash has never been over flowing.
Definitely worth the visit, but don't expect it to be a whole day event. Every time I have been there have been only 1-2 cars in the...
Read moreBeautiful view, but only view. Lots of bugs standing here. Also they have a loop trail that is nice and clear at both ends, but the middle part is not and full of spiderwebs and very narrow. My kids and I are not most people and went through the middle (a little harried for those with arachnophobia)🥴 felt like a little like walking through the jungle. But we love that sort of stuff, go figure. Also through the middle was a bridge with a cool little brook everyone else misses, because they walk only on manicured part of the trail. Suggestion, feel a little adventurous go through the middle. Caution: the middle section not recommended for small children because of the condition...
Read moreCompletely empty of humans and excellent nature. They did have a warning about bears though and suggest having more than one person. I was alone so I didn't explore the trails but I do hope to go back and see more of that beauty. The trails were extremely narrow and I didn't see much of them because of the bear warning but it was really cool and I will most definitely be back. Just have to find someone else who's not afraid of bears. (I'm not so much afraid as I am trying to prudently follow the advise of not going alone) Just like with Zelda, "It's dangerous go go alone" take bear repellant, a loud noise maker, a friend, and knowledge about how to deal with black bears. Don't play dead. That's not a good strategy for...
