Sportsman Lake — Attraction in Seminole

Nice Family setting for fishing, camping, and fishing from a boat (no skiing...too many underwater tree debris). The area is well-maintained. At Cove 1, is Equestrian Trails with places to tie your horse up to, as well as small individual horse corrals, and electrical hookups for travel trailers. Camping is allowed only for Equestrian use only, with Electric and Water Hook-Ups. Cove 2 is a small boat ramp as well as a popular place for Night Fishing or just to take the little ones to catch Perch to teach them to fish in a quieter atmosphere. Cove 3 is the main entrance to the Lake. It has a Swimming area, Electric and Water Hook-Ups, two good -size Boat Ramps, a Fishing Bridge, Childrens' Playground (at Pavilion #2), Pavilion #1 also has a Lodge for family get-togethers complete with a Kitchen area (cook stove, refrigerator, sink) and it's Thermostat Temperature Controlled with...

Beautiful little fishing lake, just a short drive East of Seminole, Oklahoma. Hidden in winding roads, and set in a beautiful scene of ponds, an island and spacey camp sites! You cannot swim here where you camp, they have a designated swimming area. Prices are cheap for overnight camping, electric and non electric sites. Fishing here is fantastic, won't be feeling those fishy blues when you leave here. I come all seasons, and enjoy my time here in any weather. I highly recommend star gazing on a clear night here, take a canoe with you, or kayak in the day and explore the shores for Bass! Been going to Sportsman for years, and every time I swing back around to it, it gets filthyer and grimmier. The trash cans are always overflowing, most of the times the bathrooms are locked and even if they weren't I wouldn't use them for the life of me. The druggies surrounding the lake don't help either. The camp post wouldn't care if the lake dried out and the trees burnt down, he'll he can't even bother to maintain the campgrounds or atleast make it seem clean.
