This past year, my family and I visited Kinder Farm Park and were excited to see so much going on. We visited during the harvest season, which is undoubtedly their most popular time. There were activities for children, adults, and activities adults could do with their children. I have a toddler son and it was important for me to share experiences and activities at Kinder Farm with him. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. They had a great selection of produce and other offerings in the large store as you enter the park. The food stands just outside of the store were busy as well. The food I was served was colder than I would have liked it, but given the outside temperature and the conditions on the day I visited, it was more than satisfying and tasty. One thing I did not expect to find a the farm was so many beautiful places to take family photos. Everywhere you look there is something to pose in front of or a beautiful backdrop just asking for a family photo. Overall, my family and I had a wonderful time and I would recommend visiting if you haven't. There are hills and uneven terrain, so if you require special accommodation, it's something to consider before visiting. Also, if you have little ones that require a stroller, bring one with large wheels. It becomes labor intensive to push strollers with smaller wheels on the varying terrain...
Read moreQuite possibly the most expensive and worst "harvest festival" we've ever been to. It was mostly a ton of vendors. Entrance is free but doing anything beyond looking at the animals cost money (via tickets). The business model isn't the flaw, its execution is. The hay maze was so small and simple it was sad. It was appropriate for children ages 2 to 4 - a pretty niche attraction. Probably the most frustrating was the bowling game. They used the cheap plastic kids bowling set. This wouldn't have been a problem if they didn't weigh down the plastic pins with sand so even with a perfect bowl the ball didn't have the force to knock down more than a few pins. Since you only got a prize for knocking down all the pins, they effectively turned it into a rigged carnival game, designed to let down small children. Our kids are chill but we took note. Finally, at the corn (air) cannon, since each cannon was tied to the same compression system, every shot reduced the pressure of the system. Without any order to who was firing, I found myself waiting while those assisting other shooters were told to fire which made the experience longer than necessary and frustrating. We don't expect to return. The second star is only given because those running the frog game were great at making it fun...
Read moreThis is a great place to take your kids for playground fun as well as a decent walking trail. But each time we went through the gate, I felt that the elderly gentleman manning the entrance was unfriendly and one time downright rude. For one thing we paid for an annual membership but it is only for the rest of this year, so we had to pay full annual price for 8 months. Then on our second trip back, he spoke to my mom rudely for not having the sticker for the yearly pass on our window. He started barking that if we do not have the sticker on the window next time, that he would charge us. I was in the back seat, I rolled down my window and told him that he did not have to speak to us like that. That we were given the sticker by him on our last visit and there were no instructions. He said that we should have received this blue paper that he handed us with instructions on where to put it. We never had. I said to him a simple clarification of policy would do but there is no need to be rude. Instead of apologizing, he just kept denying he was rude. I sensed that he is not very good at customer service or maybe he was rude because he thought he was only speaking to my elderly mother. Beware of the gate keeper of this...
