If you didn't know, Seymour had a flight school during WWII. This museum is for that time period and the issues of WWII. It has models of planes from the time period, and war items as well. It also offers flight simulators for both adults and kids. Admission is free, but they have a donation box. So you don't have to donate, but the donations help them with the upkeep of you can afford to throw them a few bucks. It is rich with history, and helps people of all ages step back in time and get their minds into that timeframe. Highly recommended if you have an open Saturday. Open from 10am until 2pm most Saturdays, barring holidays. They have some items for sale that also help them raise money for the museum. You will usually find coffee and donuts on a Saturday morning and very friendly people to tell you about the history of our airport and the impact it had on winning World War II. I am very proud of all the local people who have supported and made this little Museum possible. You can see the fire truck that my wife's father used to drive during the war . When we first walked in, a gentleman showed us around. He was very thorough and took his time explaining the exhibits. He explained how a lot of old military equipment was buried on the property and how they are slowing unearthing it.
