Maple Ridge Farm — Attraction in Shafer Township

The barn venue is beyond lovely, truly a delightful place to host or attend a wedding. It is straight out of a wedding magazine or a fairy tale. I leave this review simply because the venue does not recycle. At weddings, copious amounts of recyclable gods abound- plastic water battles, aluminum cans, and plastic cups. I contacted the venue after the event to find out if they had any plans to implement recycling in the future. I understand that sometimes it can be expensive or difficult to implement recycling. I did not hear a response. As such, I leave this information out there for consideration. I will gladly update this review to a glowing 5-stars with lots of nice comments if I hear from the venue that they plan to implement (or have implemented) recycling...

We used Maple Ridge Farm for our wedding. It was a one stop wonder - lodging for the wedding party, ceremony site, reception pavilion, and barn for dancing. There is also room for yard games and a long porch for guests who want to sit and watch the sunset.

The grounds and setting are idyllic. A large field is open to the west of the barn which provides for great sunset photos.

The owner was incredibly responsive, helpful, and professional all while not being overbearing or intrusive.

Have your wedding here!! There are many options for how you’d like to set up your ceremony, reception, cocktail hour and dinner! Sue has items to rent if you would like. She also does not include “hidden fees” like keeping the string lights up in the dinner area or keeping the heaters out if needed. We also rented the farmhouse for the entire weekend of our wedding which was such an amazing feature to have. Thank you Sue for such a wonderful venue...
