Love this little park. My 4.5 yo daughter used to want to walk here almost every day when she was a few months younger. It has several play structures for kids, but overall it is a little lacking in that department. Because of this, my daughter now prefers going to Beachwood Park.
This park is nice, but it doesn't have a slide (main complaint of my daughter) and there's no real play structure for kids to climb on except for a single climbing structure that is a network of ropes in the shape of a mountain. My daughter loves climbing to the very top.
Pros: wide open areas to run around the area is large enough to get some jogging in while kids play -it is surrounded by beautiful greenery it is connected to a long network of paved walking/running paths going west toward the nature center and Shaker lake there is a picnic area/Pavillion for events beautiful views of horseshoe lake (when it's filled)
Cons: no real jungle gym or slide structure No benches to sit on near the play structures (there are some rocks to sit on though) lots of unused grass space No structures...

We are Muslim so outdoor places are ideal for us we the time for our daily prayer arrives.
I like this park because it can accomodate several families at one time. There is ample play space for children of all ages. There is enough room for the men and women to separate into respective groups as is the way for Muslims. There are canopies with bar b q grills where the women can find plenty of shade (as Muslim women cover themselves more as dictated by our Faith) and there is an plenty of open space where men can gather to themselves.
I look forward to a chance when we can visit this park again. Id like to go here with a few other families. If this park had a pool or water sports it would be perfect.
The one drawback is the public restrooms which were very nasty. I needed a place to change my kids pamper and there was no way I was doing it in there.
Beyond that this park is awesome. Its...

There are picnic sheds that you can book in advance, and grills for family barbeques. Fall colors are really beautiful as well. In winter, if you're looking for a patch of pristine, untouched snow for the kids, for your dogs to play in, or even for a solitary walk to clear your head, I would highly recommend this place. I've come here time and again, including for my writing projects, armed with a picnic blanket and basket.
P.S. Just by the length of this review, you can probably tell I LOVE...
