This is an okay park. Just don't expect much. It is small, mostly the space is taken up by a soccer field and three parking lots. There is a very short trail through the swampy woods. The smells back there are not exactly nice. There is a supposed fishing lake, I'm not sure anyone would want to fish in that mud hole. I did enjoy the area around the historic log cabin, built in 1818! The gardens around the cabin were nice and well kept, and the nearby wild flower area was also nice. There is a pavilion and a small playground area as well. I doubt I'll be back, there are many far nicer parks...
Read moreWe luckily stumbled upon this park. Extremely well tended and beautiful. There are many picnic tables spread throughout and a large covered pavillon. Once you enter, there is a playground area to the left. Located at the park, is a historical cabin, the Hard-Wilson log house. Per most historic structures, there is a story behind it; yet, located in front 😜. While we were there with Cosmo, we noticed a father and son enjoying an afternoon of fishing. Read moreNice park for a picnic or outdoor games. Smaller pavilion allows for family or structured function. There is a small pond that allows for bank fishing, but it is full of vegetation and topwater scum. I had a few bites but the grass mats we're so thick, one would benefit from flipping a jig or creature bait only. Bass can be seen swimming around easily.
