Sharon Nature Preserve — Attraction in Sharon Township

I would have to say that this is not a nature preserve but basically a huge meadow with a walking track around it. There is a secondary trail that takes you through the woods. If you start out on the Orange Trail then jump over to the Blue Trail, finish that loop and then jump back on the Orange Trail to finish. It's only 1.3 miles in distance. The orange trail is crushed rock and the Blue Trail is forest. These are very simple trails. These trails are great for a quick walk or run. This is Medina County's newest park/reserve as of April 2023 and I was pleasantly surprised by it! It was bigger than expected and peaceful. Many Medina County parks are near highways or other busy roads and this one isn't so plenty of nature sounds. There is a gravel path around a field and a nature path through the woods/wetlands. Definitely plenty of room for improvement so not 5 stars yet, but it'll get there with enough TLC. Go check it out and make sure to bring good...

This very new park has potential if the county parks put some more money into it. The trail gets very muddy very quickly, see my pictures. They should have put in a higher base for the trail surface and also put in bridges at the low spots. Hopefully they will do this in the near future! The trail is mainly in the old farm field, but it does venture into a small wooded area towards the back of the park. It is a nice area, the park just needs a little more investment...
