Grizzly Falls was one of our stops while visiting Kings Canyon National Park. Grizzly Falls is an 80 ft high waterfall with a loud and thunderous water drop cascading beautifully over the rock into the creek below. It is an easy 0.1-mile out-and-back hike. The waterfall reaches its peak during spring. There is a picnic area, picnic tables, a vault toilet, and a parking lot at the trailhead. There are only 6-10 parking spots at the pullout area on the road, so it could be full in the summer when it is busy.

We visited in April 2025. This was our favorite waterfall in all of Sequoia and King's canyon national Parks. It's only about 100 yards off of the main road. At high water it is spectacular. And there's a lovely cooling mist that comes off of the waterfall. Later in the season I'm sure this would be a great place to cool off. There are several nice picnic tables here as well, so it's a great place to grab lunch or have a snack.

Easy hike if you park at the picnic area. We entered the park in the early morning hours, parking is super limited for the walk up so unless you arrive early you may have to park quite far away to make the hike. Arrived shortly before 9am to this fall and was there alone!
