This definitely is a beautiful place to visit. It's a wonderful place to walk with your family and to get some fresh air. Several different loop trails with information about the land and trees throughout the park. This place has no trash visible, just the way it should be. It was not crowded one bit and all the passing pedestrians were friendly. It's a safe place to be, but you be aware of your surroundings no matter where you are. I dont not suggest you wear 2 headphones while hiking/walking, or you wont be able to hear people telling you they are passing, or you'll miss out on all the beautiful sounds...
Read morePark at the Nature Center where there is plenty of parking from the Nature Center take an asphalt paved trail to the stairs leading you to the main trail. The main trail is nice wide cinder Trail. The first point of interest is a deck where you can look out onto the creek. It's fairly well overgrown and not a real spectacular view. The second point of interest is another deck overlooking the creek. The Nature Center is beautiful. They have live animal exhibits and also taxidermy animals. Seems like a very large Metro park, well maintained & clean.
We meandered on a trail, crossing French Creek a couple of times (which is larger than expected) & discovered the Picnic Area & Playground (which apparently has a separate park entrance & parking area).
