Great place for everyone. Want to get your heart rate going? Take the trail heading downhill that will also offer two bridges to enjoy the water's sound and challenging steps (leading to the nature center with clean toilets and drinking fountain). Circle back down around, finally climbing back up the original hill. There are benches to rest and enjoy the views. All along the way, you'll get smiles from other hikers, runners and an occasional biker. It's a great place to take your dog; lots of well trained dogs all on leashes.

We went to kayak and the kayak launch is separate from the main nature center, it would be difficult to find it without talking to the staff, they have maps and will guide you how to get to the actual kayak launch. You CAN drive your car very close to the launch. Although the launch is in French Creek it is very close to the junction of the Black River .
