Shelby City Park — Attraction in Shelby

This rate is not particularly for the park. Its for the Paw Patrol event that was held there last weekend. Saturday, January 25th. The reason for my compliant is due to the facebook page that was created for it. I wanted to take my son to see Paw Patrol and had a fish fry benefit for a family in need that same day, so at 930 or 10 that Saturday morning, I look on the facebook page to see what time it starts & ends. When I did it said Paw Patrol at Shelby City Park 1pm-5pm. So I'm thinking at this point I have time for us to go eat that starts at 2 and get back there before 5. So when I do finally make it there it was 5 after 4. 4:05pm. I got to get in line and there's a lady standing there with a sign that says. "I'm the last person in line, sorry :(" So, I asked her why aren't they letting anyone else in & she says because we stop at 4. So at this point im getting really upset. So i told her that the facebook page said 5pm and told her i would even pull it up and show her myself, so I did & you'll never believe what happened. It had been changed in the last hour and a half since the last time I double checked while eating. Someone had went in and just changed it to 1PM-4PM. Talking about one mad mama. Then they had the nerve to tell me "well if you just stand her in the back of the line and wait they MIGHT let you take his picture." Why am I gonna stand here in 30/40 degree whether with a 8 month old and freeze out butts off to possibly be told "we're sorry we are not taking any more pictures. Not equal to kids! My son plays basketball there and the couch Stacy McEntire is unfair to the kids. Some gets to play all game every game and as my son he has had to sit the whole game multiple games. He is all about win win win and not teaching skills. My son is 10 and had to ask me why he has to sit out and sub and some kids play every game.

When the park directors were approached about this issue we were told that this is not how it is supposed to be and they would take care of this problem. Well none of the directors have a backbone they are pushovers and it’s very obvious they are not there for the kids!

After we called and got nasty about this crappy couch they told us it was the couches choice! After they told us they were about teaching skills and equal play.

I would never recommend this park to anyone who wants there KIDS to be treated fair by couches and park directors.

Was playing tennis at the court at 6pm and this guy comes up and kicks us out because he's a "teacher" who teaches rich kids. He said that court is for teaching only. However there is no sign and no lock. Online it says his lessons end at noon. And it also says he offers teaching at the Shelby City Park tennis court(S) so I don't know what makes him so privileged to get that specific tennis court when we were there first and there are 2 other perfectly good tennis courts he could use. And it also says online that there are 3 courts available for play daily, so if that court really was just for him why would they advertise online that 3 courts are open the the...
