Blue River Memorial Park is a 186 acre park nestled up to little Blue River on the Northeast side of Shelbyville. The blue River Memorial Park’s center is a very nice memorial to Shelby County Veterans that died in war. The park has a 20 acre quail and butterfly habitat. Nice maintained clean fields and facilities. There is plenty to do in between games with trails, dog park, splash pad, playground, cross country course, pavilions for lunch or to get out of the shade, soccer field, fishing node, walking / biking trail, corporate shelter, canoeing / kayaking drop. You may also rent pavilions if you know ahead of time. At Blue River they have a separate parking area for the blue river Trailhead Boardwalk so you do not have to come into the park if other large crowds are present for a softball tournament or a cross country match. I could not find field numbers for the softball diamonds so I made a markup of the field/ diamond numbers that I have attached. There is plenty of parking and even more room for any outdoor activities you wish to do with family, friends, or teammates. 1 mile away is a Walmart superstore, gas station, Starbucks, and several fast food options. This park is located right off of 74 / U.S. highway 421. The only complaint I have is the long lines at the softball concession stand I waited for 52 min with 16 people in front of me. 70 minute...

This playground is okay. It’s definitely not safe for toddlers. The playground is also very small for our big the property is. They need a playground for little ones. The one they have is more for older kids. I typically won’t take my toddler there over others in town because it’s so unsafe. Also if there are a bunch of kids on it there is much room. For as pretty & as big as the whole park is itself I think they could really upgrade it to make people want to take their kids there even more esp over other parks in town. The splash pad is also pretty sad, they need something more like Greenfield. I’d rather drive out of town. The kids get super board super fast. Other than that the walking path is nice and dog...

This park is super fun for all walks of life! The playground equipment is great for the kiddos and has swings accessible for handicapped children too. The shelter house is humungous and is a fantastic place for eats! This park is a huge splash in summertime everyone with it awesome Splashpad! And best part it free for all who want to soak up the sun or just get soaked! This park also has a doggie park for our four legged friends! How cute is that!! Along with baseball diamonds, soccar fields, and being a huge part of the Blue River Trail what more can you ask for! This is a wonderful addition to our community and I am...

What a fun day! We took a picnic. They have a covered shelter and also several smaller areas with tables and a cover to shade over them. There is a playground, a splashpad, a trail to walk, and a creek we watched the kids swim it. There is also softball diamonds and we watched some girls play a tournaments. The restroom facilities are nice as well and it was not crowded.
